Part-time (20 hrs/week) Director of Children's Ministry Light of Christ United Methodist Church (Ballantyne area of Charlotte, NC). Oversees our Children's Ministry - children birth through 5th grade. Approximately 40 active children, average attendance 15-25. The DOCM will: o Coordinate schedule for teachers/volunteers for Children's Ministry classes & events. o Obtain & provide teachers with age-appropriate curriculum materials & lesson plans. o Sustain policies & procedures to provide a safe, quality environment for children & volunteers. o Maintain good communication with families. o Oversee budget for Children's Ministry. o Use a Special Events team to plan Easter Egg Hunt & Vacation Bible School. o Facilitate participation of Light of Christ children in at least one mission project per year. o Attend weekly staff meetings.
