Ministry Experience:

Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts, Highlands Community Church, Renton, WA 2016 - present Report to the Lead Pastor and serve on the executive lead team to help fulfill the vision of the church through music and the arts. Direct reports include Communications Director, Media Director, Worship Director, Student Worship Director, Worship Intern, Audio Tech and Worship Administrative Assistant. Highlands presently has two campuses with the goal of reaching the community of Renton with the gospel; helping people find and follow Jesus. Responsible for directing and leading a staff of seven in the areas of worship and the arts, communications, AVL, media, and video production. Lead a volunteer base of 120+ people serving a church with 2100 in weekly attendance. Help equip and develop those called to the ministry of worship, tech and the arts. Developed a program and pipeline to mentor and train Next Gen worship leaders. Designing and revamping our worship space with new technology totaling $600K in upgrades and improvements. Worship Pastor, McKinney Memorial Bible Church, Fort Worth, TX 2003 - 2016 Served on the executive leadership team as the staff department head for the music, tech and the arts ministry. Plan and lead all worship services and special events. Managed the communications, AVL, IT and video production ministries. Direct reports include Communications Director, Media Director, Worship Director, IT Director, Visual Storyteller, Audio Tech and Worship Administrative Assistant. Grew volunteer team from 50 to 70 in four years serving a church of 2600 in attendance. Founder and overseer of our Arts School designed to help young musicians develop their gifts to serve in ministry. Grew enrollment from 0 – 120+ in three years managing 12 instructors and teachers. Pastor of Worship and Arts, Pinon Hills Community Church, Farmington, NM 1997 - 2003 Report to the Lead Pastor and served on the executive leadership team overseeing the worship, tech and arts ministries. Helped rebrand the church name and logos to better reach the community for Christ. Responsible for the renovation and designing of new worship space and philosophy of worship that helped us grow from 550 to 1500 in attendance in six years. Lead a complete revamp of the worship style in quality and experience. Grew the volunteer teams from 30 to 60. Wrote and produced a worship CD involving our own worship ministry volunteers. Produced and directed large Christmas Pageants involving 150 volunteers held in our cities Civic Center with 5000+ in attendance.

Successfully provide quality resources to people on every continent to help them in their worship ministries. Published a worship study that has sold thousands of copies around the world to better help worship teams and leaders better understand true Biblical worship.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
I came to know the Lord as Savior at the age of fourteen at a youth camp in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was baptized and joined the Hawaii Kai Baptist Church where my father served as Pastor. The Lord called me to serve in full-time ministry at the age of eighteen while attending Oklahoma Baptist University. Since then I have sought the Lord's will for life in all I do. My desire in ministry is to serve the Lord in the local church. I desire to use my gifts and talents to further the gospel of Christ, to help churches become quality places where the arts are seen as awesome venues of ministry, and to serve along side men of God who are servants of grace for the Lord. I hope to continue to serve as a teacher of worship and music to those in my church and community.
