Choir Director/Worship Leader Job - Church of the Good Shepherd UMC, Vienna, Virginia

The Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist in Vienna, VA is seeking a Choir Director/Worship Leader. This part-time position is responsible for directing the adult choir and assisting with youth and children's music programs. The Choir Director/Worship Leader will conduct weekly choir rehearsals on Wed evening and lead the music during the worship services September through June. Additionally, this position would collaborate with the Pastor and Music Director in scheduling and coordinating a blended style of vocal/choral music for regular Sunday worship, special evening worship services, and a contemporary Saturday evening worship service once per month.

The preferred background consists of a B.A. degree in the choral music field with a minimum of three years' experience in choral conducting. Familiarity with sacred music within a liturgical calendar and keyboard skills are a plus.
