Job Description:
Westwood Baptist Church is seeking a Pastor Elect to serve in a pastor-teacher partnership role under the leadership of the Senior Pastor while in preparation to transition to the senior pastor position. The intent of the Pastor Elect position is to temporarily fill the position of Executive Pastor while preparing to assume the role of Senior Pastor. Westwood Baptist Church is affiliated with Converge USA and Converge Northwest (formerly General Baptist Conference). Westwood is located in Olympia, WA and has been ministering to people in teh greater Olympia area for almost four decades. The Sunday Morning Worship services and Sunday School attendance averages over 1,000 people each week. The Senior Pastor is Lee Forstrom who has been at Westwood since 1973. Other staff members include Executive Pastor and Pastors of Discipleship and Leadership Development, Students, Global Outreach, Evangelism, Children, and Worship & Creative Arts Ministries; Directors for Women, Technology and Communications Ministries.
