Who We Are
We are the English speaking Methodist Church of Hong Kong, with some links to the Methodist Church of the United Kingdom. We seek to serve an international_noemailmunity in Hong Kong, which is "Asia’s World City" and the gateway to Greater China.
Our fellowship is made up of people from all over the world, who are either living in or visiting Hong Kong. Some_noemaile to Hong Kong for many years and have made Hong Kong their home; others are here on a more short-term basis. Some are from a Methodist background, most are not.
We we_noemaile people of any Christian background to worship and fellowship. We seek to_noemailmunicate biblical truths that are unchanging but in a way that is relevant for our people’s situation. We seek to serve the whole people of whatever age, race, color or Christian experience.
Our youth represent the true multi-national nature of our fellowship - we are Canadians, British and Americans of many different ethnicities; Chinese from Hong Kong, Singapore and the Mainland; African; Filipino; Japanese; Korean. Our congregation includes special needs youth and children.
Our youth live in a city that is one of the most dynamic yet safe in the world. On the down side, it is an environment that focuses youth intensely on academic achievement and conformity, is transient, and lacks social, cultural and outdoor activities for youth.
Against that backdrop, our Youth Leader role offers a fantastic opportunity for an individual_noemailmitted to bringing youth into the Christian_noemailmunity. We have an abundance of young people whose lives are ready to be filled with Christian mission. If you build it, they will_noemaile

Job Description
Methodist International Church of Hong Kong is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministry (6th through 12th grade and college).
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will demonstrate evidence of a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and be ready to embrace the challenge of leading a truly multi-cultural group of young people on their journey with Christ. An individual who can lead both youth and volunteers toward goals that are bigger than thought possible. The ideal candidate will be creative, fun, energetic, technologically advanced, musically skilled, and possess the ability to motivate others.
The Goal
The candidate will take over from volunteers the leadership of the Church's youth. The goal is to grow our youth program from a Sunday School-only environment to b_noemailing a central part of the lives of our youth, to bring new youth into the Church and through this program to bring the youth fully into the Christian_noemailmunity.
