Job Description:

First Presbyterian Church of Worcester seeks a Music Director/ Organist for a part-time position (8-10 hours per week) for multi-cultural, multi-generational congregation. Provide music for one weekly service at 10:30am on Sundays, plus special holiday services (including, but not limited to Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday). Plan and coordinate all music and anthems from diverse musical traditions for Sunday worship services in concert with pastoral staff, direct an established adult choir, build a youth music program. Rehearse dedicated adult choir for 90 minutes on Thursday evenings and before church service on Sunday mornings (September through June). Input at staff meetings for worship planning. The music ministry includes a traditional worship service with blended elements. Applicants must be proficient in piano and_noemailan. Late 19th century Tracker Pipe Organ with 9 stops, revised and Baldwin piano in sanctuary. Candidates should possess an enthusiasm for worship and the ministry of joyful Christian music.
