Contemporary Worship Director Job - Liberty Corner Presbyterian, Liberty Corner, New Jersey

Position: Director of Contemporary Worship Ministries
The person that is called by God to the position of Contemporary Worship Director must have a passionate relationship with Jesus Christ and be able to appropriately lead others to express their personal relationship Jesus in worship. A multi-faceted church, LCPC values both traditional and contemporary worship styles. We are looking for someone with excellent musical skill who is willing to engage creatively in many aspects of church life but who is primarily responsible for helping Liberty Corner Church reach the next level in contemporary worship. Prior experience is a requirement.

Reports to: Senior Pastor/Head of Staff

Ministry Goals:
(1) To raise the Liberty Corner worship experience to even more_noemailpelling levels, whereby worshippers are continually drawn into a transcendent encounter with the living God.
(2) To expand the number of worship leaders in our congregation consistent with the goals established with the Head of Staff.
(3) To explore and create new ways by which God can be worshipped which are more accessible to those not yet worshipping (seekers).

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as primary worship leader providing a consistent pastoral presence to the contemporary services.
Oversight of all contemporary worship leadership including overall themes and implementation of worship services, including contemporary worship leaders and media leaders.
Planning, coordination and_noemailanization of all worship services.
Vision casting for future worship experiences.
Recruiting and development of future worship leaders.
Development of worship arts including drama, dance, instrumental, voice, art, etc.
Development of worship and music budget.
Adding and subtracting staff as appropriate and in conjunction with the Personnel Committee.
"Raise the banner" for worship ministry as a vital means by which people can encounter the holy God and, as well, use the gifts that God has given them.

Qualifications:
Musical training and ability including skill in singing/playing of an instrument, preferably guitar. Also must have the ability to arrange
music for various instruments.
Authentic love of Jesus and_noemailmitment to follow him.
An understanding and full support of the mission and ministry of the church.
An understanding that team work is a vital_noemailponent of a vibrant ministry as well as the ability to lead, guide, recruit and
mentor staff and volunteers for worship and music excellence.
Ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
Ability to_noemailmunicate a variety of issues and ideas to staff and volunteers.
Essential are excellent interpersonal skills and_noemailanizational abilities.
Responsible, able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as with other church staff me
