Director of Worship and Music Job - Calvary Reformed Church, Holland, Michigan

Specific Responsibilities

*Craft, prepare and lead weekly worship services, working closely with ministry staff and the worship ministry team

*Train and empower praise teams and/or individuals to lead worship

*Coordinate instrumental ensembles for worship services, choir, and special events.

*Direct adult choir and oversee youth and children's choirs for worship services.

*Coordinate_noemailanist/pianist/instrumentalists schedule for all worship services and special events during the year.

*Schedule practices and performances for musical ensembles, drama teams, soloists, dance or other fine arts teams from within the church.

*Coordinate Audio/Visual Team including sound board, projector, lighting, and video personnel/volunteers.

*Direct and present major musical/drama presentations for the_noemailmunity each year in coordination with ministry staff. Currently doing Christmas and Spring/Easter events.

*Select and purchase all music for adult choir and ensembles.

*Coordinate decoration of the worship center

*Ensure good_noemailmunication so that information on the website and bulletin are current and accurate.

*Attend weekly staff meetings

Qualifications

*Must demonstrate a deep personal_noemailmitment to Jesus Christ and the word of God, maintaining a strong personal devotional life, which includes regular Bible study and prayer.

*Be able to clearly articulate his/her personal faith and_noemailmunicate Biblical truths.

*Must have a passion for worship and evangelism through creative worship.

*Possess a good sense of the nature of Christian worship and be sensitive and skilled in leading God's gathered people into His presence with joy, reverence, and awe.

*Be deeply_noemailmitted to reaching people for Christ, both through his/her own personal witness and through the music ministries of the church.

*Must demonstrate good vocal and instrumental abilities and have experience leading
worship from the keyboard

*Must demonstrate proficiency in a variety of musical styles and have experience in
leading worship in multi-ethnic settings.

*Should have experience leading a blended style worship

*Must possess leadership qualities including motivational skill, promoting teamwork and creative programming.

*A minimum of 5 years experience as a worship/music director
