Elementary Director
Job Description:
The Elementary Director position will oversee K-2nd grade weekend ministry. Assist with mid-week ministry as well as with summer events for children 1st - 5th grade. Specific responsibilities of Elementary Director include, leading the large group presentation and worship, which on average includes a weekly total of 220 children K- 2nd grade. This person will recruit and develop a team of volunteers to implement the different aspects of the weekend ministry with a small group emphasis. We are currently using Tru as our weekend curriculum. This person will play a vital role on the Children's Ministry leadership team. This is a part time position of 29 hours per week with a great deal of weekday flexibility (days and times).
Desired skills/abilities: This person must be passionate about their relationship with Jesus. He/she must love children and has a heart for ministry to children. He/she must have leadership skills and be able to build, motivate and direct teams of teens and adults. This person must have vision, enthusiasm and creativity regarding the spiritual development of children.
