WHO WE ARE
Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church is a 500 member congregation serving Acton, Massachusetts and surrounding towns in the Metro-Northwest Boston area. Mt. Calvary's mission is to "Walk with others in b_noemailing growing Followers of Jesus Christ"
We are currently in a three-year growth process through which we will b_noemaile more passionate, spiritually mature followers of Jesus, where disciple making is a natural aspect of our Christian lifestyle. We have a particular focus on discipling and equipping 25-45 year olds, who constitute a primary segment of our local_noemailmunity. To help fulfill that vision, we are seeking a Minister of Outreach and Discipleship to do the following:
MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES
75% of time will be spent on the following:
Developing and nurturing relationships with Acton and surrounding town leaders in civic, school and social service arenas to build Disciples through service.
Developing a_noemailprehensive outreach strategy to reach 25-45 year olds in our area for Jesus Christ including, but not limited to the following:
Personally engaging, developing, and nurturing Discipling relationships in the Acton and the surrounding towns
Developing and nurturing relationships with town leaders in civic, school and other public arenas
25% of time will be spent on the following:
Mentoring the congregation on their journey of Disciple Making
Share the Spirit of Discipleship through recruiting, developing and encouraging a lay Discipleship Growth team including but not limited to the following:
Motivate, teach, and mobilize 25-40 year olds at Mt. Calvary to engage in Disciple B_noemailing/Making
Model, lead and mentor the congregation in a consistent, on-going and strategic engagement with the_noemailmunity
Teaching Discipleship by word and example to all interested Mt. Calvary members
Recruit and develop a leadership team to help fulfill the vision and responsibilities of this job description. This Outreach leadership team will be made up of Mt. Calvary members and friends, primarily 25-45 years old.
Organize and operate an on-going prayer-support_noemailwork for this outreach ministry.
Liaison with the Senior Pastor and partnering Mt. Calvary ministries in cooperative outreach programs in order to maximize all church Disciple Making efforts to achieve our vision
