Technical Arts Director/ Chief Audio Engineer Job - Hope Church, Mason, Ohio

Position has two responsibilities – will consider separating into separate jobs for two different individuals if necessary.

Duties: Oversee, vision-cast, recruit, train and deploy a team of volunteers to manage all the technical aspects of the worship arts department, including weekly gatherings, rehearsals, extra in-house concerts and seasonal outreach events. Carefully assess technical equipment needs, budget for, purchase and maintain all such equipment. Work closely with Worship Pastor (directly) and Senior Pastor (indirectly) for maintaining excellence in overall presentation of worship services (The Gathering).

Chief Audio Engineer's Qualities:
The main responsibility is to run sound for a band practice, and Sunday morning services. Your house mix must be within the style and decibel range required. Most importantly, the house mix must add to the worship experience and not distract. Also, your stage mix, which includes monitors, aviom, and in ear monitors, must be the best they can be to allow the band and vocalists to be able to lead worship as best they can.
You will be responsible for maintenance of the main sanctuary sound system and other sound related equipment. You will also be asked to make decisions on upkeep of other sound equipment in the church. This might entail replacing and installing other sound systems in the church.
Requirements:

1. At least 3 years of extensive live/studio mixing which must include:
Experience with choirs and orchestras
Experience with mixing for live bands
An understanding of what each vocalist/musician needs to hear in their monitor
Experience with MICing an acoustic piano and acoustic drums
Extensive experience and understanding of EQ-ing

2.Demonstrate an understanding of sound equipment, and be able to decide on what new equipment is best for the church.
