Job Description:
FBC Dalhart is looking for a Music Minister who will join our staff team and participate in reaching our_noemailmunity for Christ. We are called to prepare people to reach their relational worlds for Christ and we are looking for someone who can partner with us in this ministry.
MINISTER OF MUSIC
1. The minister of music will plan and direct all aspects of the church's music ministry by enlisting, training,_noemailanizing and equipping in:
a. All praise teams and other music programs of the church.
b. Finding ways to reach and involve church members through music.
c. Leading the church to cooperate with other Baptist and denominational_noemailanizations in church music programs of development and spiritual edification.
2. The minister of music shall provide leadership in the planning of praise and worship in the church:
a. By planning and preparing in advance the music for church worship services.
b. By coordinating with the Pastor and other professional staff in designing and implementing the order of worship services.
c. By coordinating the work of the instrumentalist, sound and television technicians and ushers/greeters in the church worship services.
3. Assist with the caring ministry of the church:
a. By assisting the pastor, at his request, with the sick, bereaved, hospitalized, and handicapped.
b. Through counseling and helping with benevolent and crisis work of the church.
c. By arranging and providing music for weddings, funerals, special programs, and other church-related services and activities upon request.
4. Perform certain supportive and administrative functions:
a. By participating in staff planning.
b. By advising and working with assigned_noemailmittees.
c. By preparing bulletins and supervise the preparation and distribution of other promotional materials as needed.
d. By supervising the maintenance and expansion of the church music library and musical instruments.
e. By serving as a member of the problem solving team
5. Continue a program of personal growth and study:
a. By staying knowledgeable of available literature and material.
b. By attending educational programs and seminars.
c. By staying informed as to new methods and ministries.
