STUDENT MINISTRIES

The student ministries program at New Life utilizes culturally relevant means to reach 7th – 12th graders, nurture them to Christ-like maturity, and then release them into ministry and servanthood in the church. This is a_noemailplished in a variety of ways all of which are in harmony with the philosophy of the church as a whole.

Expectations of the prospective candidate:

Ministry Administrator – Facilitate the vision for student ministry, oversee all ministry functions within student ministries. Provide general direction and vision for all activities, camps, outreaches, groups, and services.

Spiritual Leadership – Prepare challenging weekly services and messages that lead students and leaders to a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Christ. Personally live a life that exemplifies a passion for Christ, heart for the lost, and a servant's heart for people inside and outside of New Life church.

Lead Student Ministry Volunteers – Recruit, train, direct and correct student ministry volunteers. Supervise student ministries volunteers and mentor and exhort volunteers as necessary. Provide an open door for growth, spiritual, and pastoral development by maintaining and nurturing personal relationships.

Personal Spiritual Growth
o Practice the presence of God by traditional spiritual disciplines
o Be a growing disciple of Christ
o Be an example of Christ-like living in public and private

Team Player – Operate in ministry in a team format in conjunction with the Lead Pastor and all other staff. Effectively_noemailmunicate with staff and parents on a regular basis

PREFERRED QUALITIES (not required)

Graduate with a 4 yr degee
Experience in student ministries or other equivalent position
Counseling ability
