POSITION TITLE: Director of Missions Ministries
CLASSIFICATION: The Director of Missions will be the primary Vienna Presbyterian Church staff member responsible for strengthening the Missions Ministry throughout our membership as we live out the call to be "In Christ, Together, for the World." This position is a regular, part-time exempt position within VPC and offers employee fringe benefits. In keeping with Director level positions at VPC, the Director of Missions Ministries is expected to work 30 hours per week, including limited normal office hours during the work week and evening, plus Saturday and Sunday hours as required to support and manage Missions Ministries. The Director is expected to attend semimonthly Director/Pastor meetings, weekly VPC worship services, and to participate in the_noemailmunity life of VPC.
REPORTS TO: The Director of Missions reports to the SEND Pastor and leads the members of the Missions ministry teams, including the SEND- Missions elders, with oversight for the vision, purpose, and functions of Missions at VPC. Also, the Director of Missions collaborates with the pastors, the Evangelism Director, and other Ministry Directors in implementing VPC's central mission of being a Disciple-Making Church.

SECTION 2. MISSION AND VISION OF VPC; OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION.
Vienna Presbyterian Church (VPC) is a disciple-making church. Our mission is to Call people to faith, Equip people for discipleship, and Send people to love and serve. We envision VPC as a joyful, contagious, Christ-centered_noemailmunity devoted to loving and serving God and our neighbors. We believe that Jesus is Lord, Scripture is our authority, and everyone is called to discipleship. We believe that every job within VPC supports our mission and that every employee is an integral part of the overall plan.
The Missions Ministry, with oversight by the Director and Session, currently makes decisions regarding the distribution of funds to Missions partners and programs focused on local, national and international needs. Additionally, the Ministry now intends to match VPC treasure with our church members' time and talent, by working with existing and new Missions partners, other churches, and faith and civic_noemailanizations. Ministry goals will reflect transformed lives within the VPC family and our ministry partnerships, powered by Christ's mercy and love through service and witness to the poor, lost, and broken.
The Missions Director will focus his or her efforts primarily on four priorities:
1) Demonstrating and sharing the love of Jesus Christ with those who think they have no reason for hope: the impoverished, unreached, hungry, lonely, frightened and uneducated.
