Associate Pastor
Job Description:
Harvest Community Church is a contemporary evangelical, gospel-centered, missional_noemailmunity that embraces bold preaching, transformational worship, quality discipleship and fervent prayer while maintaining a vision for church planting. We are located in the south suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with an average weekly attendance of 700 people over three worship services.
Responsibilities
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Associate Pastor to play a critical role in helping Harvest Community Church achieve significant growth while overseeing the Discipleship and Operations ministries. The successful candidate will utilize strong leadership and discipleship skills to develop and implement a cohesive discipleship strategy across all ministries while striving for congregational assimilation into small groups and active church membership. The selected individual will have primary responsibility for the small groups ministry, including evaluating and developing curriculum, mentoring small group leaders, and executing a strategy for continuous small group growth. The ideal candidate will also be adept at developing a plan to identify, train and nurture volunteers and leaders into a wide variety of ministry areas throughout the church. Additionally, this critical position will be responsible for overseeing weekly operations of the church, including facility maintenance, and providing effective management of church staff and other key lay leaders. The Associate Pastor will also be expected to provide general oversight for financial activities such as budgeting, insurance, and guidance on capital expenditures.
Education and Experience
Minimum 5 years pastoral ministry experience and bachelor's degree are required. Master's Degree or other advanced degree plus 10 years of experience working in a large church (attendance over 1,000) are preferred.
