Director of Youth Ministry Job - Bridges Christian Fellowship, Riverside, California

Ministry Description: The youth pastor position exists primarily to administer, develop and implement youth ministries and programs designed to meet the spiritual, social, and emotional needs of youth, leading them to spiritual_noemailmitments and disciplines that will result in spiritual maturity within the church and_noemailmunity. The youth pastor will also work alongside the pastor, helping to grow, administer and develop the entire congregation of Bridges.

Personal and Ministry Qualifications:
Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ
Meets the Biblical qualifications of a leader. (1Timothy 3; Titus 1).
Vital, growing, personal relationship with the Lord
Committed to moral purity (and a healthy relationship with his wife and family)
Spiritual gifts relevant to the position of ministry
Special concern for youth and their spiritual lives
Agree to the Bridges Statement of Faith and Membership Commitment
Committed to teamwork with the pastoral staff
Committed to the ministry philosophy and programs of Bridges
Competent in_noemailanization, administration and interpersonal relationships
Training in youth ministry and a desire for further training and growth
Competent in Bible teaching and speaking to youth
Successful youth ministry experience
Adequate skill and education for the position

Position description:
Oversee and coordinate the activities of the youth program
Faithfully attend church services and church wide activities
Be the primary teacher for the youth ministry
Involve family in the life of the church
Disciple and mentor youth in their relationship with the Lord
Develop outreach events that appeal and draw the unsaved
Provide retreats, conferences, camps and mission trips
Administer programs to recruit and equip adults to work within the youth programs. Serve as an ongoing resource to adult leaders for materials, ideas and coordination
Get and maintain a Class B driver's license (for driving a 15 passenger van)
Anything else deemed necessary by the Pastor
