Allentown Presbyterian Church is a youthful, growing mid-sized church with large ministries for children and youth planted in the heart of one of the great small towns in central New Jersey. We are ideally located with easy access to New York, Philadelphia, Princeton and the Shore. We are looking for someone with a vibrant faith, great people skills and a desire to see the church and her members grow to their fullest potential.
The Congregational Development Leader will help Allentown Presbyterian Church to fulfill its mission by connecting current members, new members and potential members to Jesus Christ through the church. In particular the Congregational Development Leader will lead teams to 1) connect the time, talents and gifts of congregational members to the needs of the church as driven by our mission and vision, 2) ensure all members and friends of APC are regularly contacted and identify current members who are not actively participating and help connect them to the life of the church, and 3) identify strategies and build systems for bringing and assimilating new members into the congregation.
