Associate Pastor
Job Description:
Aldersgate Church is a non-denominational, evangelical, gospel-centered, bible church that embraces bold preaching, transformational worship, quality discipleship and fervent fellowship for families and singles of all ages. We are located one hour east of the Dallas Metroplex in Greenville, Texas, with an average weekly attendance of around 200 people. We have a thriving children's ministry with AWANA, Heartbeat Student Ministry, Small Groups, and a host of other areas of ministry to the church body and_noemailmunity.
Summary of Responsibilities:
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Associate Pastor to play a critical role in the growth and development of Aldersgate Church. You will be an integral part of a 3 pastor ministerial team_noemailposed of a senior pastor, worship / Christian education pastor and the associate pastor. The successful candidate will utilize strong leadership and discipleship skills to develop and implement a cohesive discipleship strategy across all ministries while striving for congregational assimilation into small groups and families. The selected individual will have responsibility for the small group ministry, including evaluating and developing curriculum, mentoring small group leaders, and executing a strategy for continuous small group growth as well as administrative role. Additionally, you will play a key role in teaching and ministry development while working with the senior pastor and elders in determining God's leading for this 43 year old church body.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of pastoral ministry experience with small groups and families
Excellent_noemailanizational and administrative skills
Bachelor's degree is required. Seminary degree or degree in progress is highly preferred.
Strong desire to disciple and shepherd families
Be self-directed and still a strong team player and leader
Ability to teach and preach
