Job Description:
P/T Secretary/Receptionist Position Available in Local Church
The secretary/receptionist will report directly to the office manager and will provide assistance in the office with clerical, telephone assistance and reception, as well as support to the church staff. This is a part time position of up to 15 hours per week. Expectations of this position include being able to keep confidentiality, good_noemailanizational skills, self motivation, and most importantly a we_noemailing and positive attitude. The qualified person should be_noemailmitted to the priorities and values of the Church and envision the secretary/receptionist position as a ministry which serves our_noemailmunity of faith.
Job Functions will include, but are not limited to the following:
Answer i_noemailing calls and respond or direct as needed
Respond to and/or direct parishioners, visitors, guests, and repair persons
Collect and record Mass requests, baptism, death, and wedding information
Provide support to the staff with clerical duties as requested
Minimum Requirements:
Special Skills - ability to maintain_noemailanized files and possess strong_noemailmunication skills that include knowledge of current_noemailmunication mediums including email and Inte_noemail.
Possess interpersonal skills and a we_noemailing attitude with visitors, parishioners and staff
Possess a strong understanding of the English language
Possess a warm telephone and personal greeting
Exhibit personal discretion, integrity and confidentiality concerning information pertaining to parish life
Possess a good knowledge of online media usage and inte_noemail_noemailmunications
Possess a working knowledge of MS Word and FileMakerPro
Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager or Pastor
Ability to type letters
Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
