Praise and Worship Leader Job - Discovery Church, Conover , North Carolina

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Discovery is looking for a dynamic, innovative person to create, direct, and produce our contemporary worship service. The Worship Leader/Director of Contemporary Worship will have the freedom to develop an inspiring, culturally relevant and memorable worship experience for multi-generational believers and seekers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the Pastor, the Music Ministry Team, and the technical support staff, to create a Cohesive, impactful, spiritually significant Sunday contemporary worship service.
Lead, shape and oversee the music worship culture of the contemporary worship service.
Develop volunteer based worship music teams and oversee/conduct regular rehearsals in order to assure_noemailpelling worship experiences led by instrumental/vocal excellence.
Develop and train those in the Discovery church_noemailmunity with appropriate spiritual and musical gifts to serve on the music ministry team.
Attend staff meetings, Music Ministry Team meetings and worship and Music Committee meetings as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A mature, strong, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Gifted in music as an expression of faith and creative artistic discernment.
Excellent instrumental and vocal abilities.
Strong visionary, planning, and_noemailanizational skills.
Fluency in contemporary music and music culture.
Effective team builder and motivator.
Competent_noemailmunicator; both interpersonal and public.
RELATIONSHIPS:
The Praise and Worship leader will work closely with the Pastor and the Technical Support Staff.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Praise and Worship Leader is accountable to the Pastor
EVALUATION:
The job performance of the Praise and Worship Leader will be evaluated annually by the Pastor.
