Job Description:
Killearn United Methodist Church (KUMC) invites applications for the position of Children's Ministry Director. The Children's Ministry Director provides a balanced ministry program for children (infancy through 5th grade) at KUMC that includes spiritual formation, worship, outreach, missions and service. The incumbent is responsible for oversight of a biblically based Sunday ministry, daily preschool, afterschool camp, summer camp and nursery programs and ensures that the vision and values of KUMC are instilled in our children, and all constituents serving in this ministry area. Reporting to the Associate Pastor, the incumbent has supervisory responsibility for 2 associate coordinators, and the directors of the preschool, after school, summer school, and nursery programs. A Bachelor's Degree in education, child development or related field and two years of experience working with children's programs are preferred. One year of supervisory and/or managerial experience also preferred. Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of the preferred degree. The pay scale for the position is $40,000 to $45,000 per year.
