Job Description:

Position Objective: To shepherd the people of Community Bible Church into meaningful corporate worship of and response to our triune God, helping us be "lost in wonder and love and praise," pointing our hearts and minds towards Christ so that God's love_noemailpels us to do good works and share Good News.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership:
1. To model spiritual health and maturity in speech, life, love, faith, and purity;
2. To pray for the people and ministries of Community Bible Church;
3. To serve as a member of the pastoral leadership team;
4. In conjunction with the Sr. Pastor, to plan and lead the corporate worship services;
5. In conjunction with the Sr. Pastor, to identify a vision for worship arts and create strategies, ministry programs etc. that will move the Worship Arts ministry towards a_noemailplishing its vision.
6. To develop and/or improve non-musical aspects of corporate worship (video, drama, art, etc.)
7. To provide pastoral leadership and care for Worship Arts ministry participants and as needed within the church family.
8. To ensure excellence in all aspects of audio, visual, and other technical elements of corporate worship.
Recruiting & Equipping
1. To directly and indirectly recruit a willing and enthusiastic staff of volunteer leaders;
2. To inspire, encourage, train, and develop others to minister within the Worship Arts department.

Worship Pastor Profile:
Proven exemplary character meeting the scriptural qualifications of an elder.
Biblically grounded and theologically articulate.
Emotionally and relationally mature, possessing wisdom to help lead our worship team and church through this leadership transition.
Passionate about leading people to worship God.
Excellent stage presence. (Should be able to lead a meaningful worship experience by himself, with his guitar and A/V support).
Track record of recruiting and building lay-ministry teams as well as a demonstrated ability to lead lay-leaders.
Track record of being a staff team player and putting "all-church" goals ahead of personal or worship ministry goals.
A good working relationship with previous senior pastor(s).
Proven ability to plan, implement, and lead congregational worship experiences with excellence in a contemporary, user-friendly environment.
Very a_noemailplished vocally and with musical instrument(s).
Proven ability to lead a band (balance artistic personalities, ear for timing, etc).
Proven ability to creatively enhance worship experiences and environments using music and other forms of art.
Good eye and ear for sound, lighting, color, décor and flow within the worship environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues with worship technology.
Proven ability to_noemailanize and administer a growing worship arts ministry.
Committed to relevance (with sensitivity towards those who struggle with change).
