Positional Overview and Environment:
First Christian is an actively growing, highly contemporary, non-denominational church seeking a pastor of Worship and Creative Arts. First Christian has a vision to bridge denominational divides, to provide hope to our_noemailmunity, and to encourage and equip Christ followers. We believe in "doing whatever it takes" to know and show God's love. We are anticipating a move of God that will bring a spiritual awakening to Dyersburg and to the state of Tennessee as a whole. The ideal candidate will have a desperate love for God and for his people, be highly relational as a team player, have a proven track record of success and dynamic ministry and be an excellent leader.
Our new Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts will:
Work closely with the lead pastor to develop weekend programing
Train, equip and develop a large worship volunteer contingent
Attend weekly staff meetings and ministry developomment meetings
Maintain regular office/ministry hours (generally 40-50)
Assist staff with connection ministry to new families in the church
Develop, submit and maintain a yearly worship and creative arts budget
Lead weekly worship practices both instrumentally and vocally
Have a strong work ethic that produces results and exceeds expectation
Be a dynamic visionary who can effectively_noemailmunicate a clear vision
Be outgoing and highly relational in personality, self-motivated
Have a true servants heart and lead from extreme humility
Have significant experience and training in multimedia development including web development, graphics/imagery, video production and editing, print, lighting, stage design and live feed production
Be able to teach in weekend services and small groups
Be open to change and the shifting of responsibilities with growth
Have a minimum of 15 years of worship leading experience and a minimum of 10 years of pastoral experience in successful proven ministry with a bachelor's degree (preferably within ministry)
