Job Description:
Purpose:
The primary role of the Director of Student Ministries at Trinity is to develop and implement a_noemailprehensive ministry to Middle School and High School students as part of the church's overall ministry strategy to families.
Qualifications:
The Director of Student Ministries is a highly relational individual who loves teenagers, enjoys spending time with them, understands them, and will model and help them to grow in an ever-deepening relationship with Jesus. We prefer this individual have a college degree with an emphasis in Youth Ministry or Christian Education. We anticipate a 5 year minimum_noemailmitment to the Student Ministry at Trinity.
Responsibilities:
Grow in Christlikeness and in your personal relationship with God so that you model Christlikeness to students and adults.
Develop and implement a ministry for both Middle School and High School students that is relevant, attractive, exciting, and fun; that disciples students in genuine Bible-based faith; that develops in youth a love for those who don't know Jesus; that provides opportunities for students to reach out to their friends and other youth; and fulfills the purposes of the church as reflected in Trinity's Mission Statement.
Meet with students and their friends outside of regular programmed events and the church facility, in a variety of settings which might include school events, sporting events, band concerts, plays, clubs, home visits, meeting after school, hang-out opportunities, etc.
Recruit, train, equip, and lead a volunteer staff to help fulfill the objectives of the student ministry.
Plan and lead student retreats and/or participate in larger retreats and conferences.
Plan, promote, and lead student service and missions projects, either locally, nationally or internationally.
Utilize a variety of social media to effectively_noemailmunicate with students and adults.
Partner with parents of teens and provide resources to help them be effective in their role as parents.
Develop and manage an annual budget for the Student Ministry.
Network with other local youth pastors and ministries to impact youth in the greater Nashua area.
Participate with the Trinity Staff Team in overall church planning and take an active role in special Church-wide emphases that the Staff Team plans together.
Provide support to and be a resource for the college/singles group.
Accountability:
The Student Ministries Director reports to the Senior Pastor.
