Children's Minister Job - Mount Zion UMC, Garner, North Carolina

Mount Zion UMC is searching for a Children's Pastor.

The primary responsibility is to coordinate ministry with children from birth to 5th grade.

This position is based on a 20 hour per week schedule.

The candidate should be degreed or on track to receive a degree in Christian Education or related discipline and/or have experience in children's ministry. Ordination is not required.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee Sunday School to include recruiting and training teaching staff, and determine curriculum
Organize nursery facility and provide supervision to nursery workers
Coordinate scheduling and promotion of all children's programs.
Organize and maintain programs for children's worship and children's church
Active leadership of Vacation Bible School alongside Children's ministry team
Organize seasonal events such as Easter and Christmas events
Develop long term plan for Children's Ministry growth
Manage Safe Sanctuary policies and procedures
