Job Description:
The McCord Road Christian Church in Sylvania, Ohio is seeking a full-time Pastor of Student Ministry (grades 7-12).
Candidate should have a minimum of five years of professional leadership experience in student ministry and proven effectiveness in all aspects of ministry leadership.
This suburban church is located in the thriving_noemailmunity of Sylvania in Northwest Ohio and recently underwent a $3.3 million addition, much of which is focused on the youth ministry. Over 600 attend on an average Sunday morning. Our student ministry involves over 100 students weekly with separate Jr. & Sr. High meeting nights along with over one half the students also involved in weekly life groups. Our Bridges student music ministry leads live worship at weekly meetings and the four youth bands play in outreach venues as well.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Lead the adult volunteer staff team (20+) and continue to develop new adult leadership.
2. Model consistent, personal involvement in relationships with students for the purpose of evangelism, discipleship, leader development and missions.
3. Encourage and guide students as they continue to seek and experience more of the love and power of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
