Student Ministry Pastor/Director Job - Crossroads Church, Fremont, California

CROSSROADS CHURCH is searching for a godly leader of excellent Character, Competence, and Passion to lead a high impact youth ministry in a growing church in Fremont, CA. This key person must have the vision and ability to develop a multiplying ministry. This leader is not being called to do all of the ministry, but to recruit and train a team to do the ministry. (Eph. 4:11-13)

Due to the high cost of living in the SF Bay Area, we will not acknowledge nor respond to resumes received from outside of CA !

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

A strong vibrant walk with Christ.
A heart for reaching youth and seeing them grow in faith.
A team player with the confidence and ability to lead youth, parents, and volunteers.
A self-motivated energetic person with a "go-for-it" mentality.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and lead a growing high school ministry that builds upon the foundation laid by our Children's and Junior High ministries to lead students to love and follow Jesus.
Organize and implement a weekly high school connecting event.
Plan regular high school outreach events.
Organize focused growth and ministry opportunities (retreats, summer camps, mission trips, service projects...)
Connect the youth ministry to the larger church family by increasing attendance and involvement in weekend services and other ministries.
Oversee the junior high ministry, and serve as a bridge for students between children's ministry and junior high, and between junior high and high school.
Oversee the young adult ministry in the church.
Recruit and equip volunteers for the junior high, high school, and young adult ministries.

TIME COMMITMENT AND COMPENSATION

40 - 45 hours/week. Annual salary based on experience.
Medical, dental, vision insurance.
Attend weekly Staff & bi-monthly Leadership Team meetings.
