Contemporary Worship Leader & Youth Group Leader (Full Time)
Are you passionate about high quality contemporary worship leadership that connects people to God through exceptional music, creative media, relevant liturgy, and sincerity of the spoken word?
Are you_noemailmitted to creative,_noemailpelling and innovative youth ministry (middle school through high school) that emphasizes relationship-building, nurtures a deepening faith, and equips participants to use their unique gifts for the work of Jesus Christ?
Can you identify, equip, and supervise teams of volunteers to grow others in Christian discipleship through both music and youth ministries?
Can you think critically, strategically, and collaboratively to develop ministry plans, evaluating their effectiveness and envisioning their potential?

First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City, Missouri, is a growing, downtown congregation with a vision for everyone connected to our church_noemailmunity to belong, believe, and b_noemaile a blessing in the name of Christ. We we_noemaile questions, believe that faith is meant to unite people rather than divide them, and seek to join God in loving and serving outside the walls of the church. While our multi-generational congregation worships in different services in a variety of styles, our contemporary service has grown to b_noemaile our largest weekly worship event. Last year we added a_noemailmunity center to our already-established food pantry in order to serve neighbors in need and allow church members to share their gifts in the loving spirit of Christ. We are seeking a full-time staff member whose responsibilities will be divided among contemporary worship leadership and youth group leadership. These responsibilities will include:
* Oversight of design, music, media, and leadership of our contemporary worship service. You will be expected to direct the band, recruit members, lead rehearsal, provide spoken worship leadership, and supervise related visual media.
*Leadership of youth activities as a vital_noemailponent of Family Ministries. Working with volunteers, you will be expected to provide outstanding leadership to evening youth group activities, as well as special youth events (including mission trips, trail hikes, etc.) You will work closely with our Family Ministry Director, to whom you will be accountable for carrying out the mission and vision of the Family Ministry discipleship process as it relates to youth.
