Job Title: Family Ministries Director
Division: Family Ministries
Reports To: Executive Pastor
Salary: Based on Experience
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt, Full-time

SUMMARY: The Family Ministries Director serves the church by developing, coordinating, and administering an effective Family Ministries (families with children ages newborn to 18) program to the church that aligns with the vision of Being Real with Ourselves, God and Others. This position provides leadership to and supervision of staff and others involved in this ministry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Supervises Family Ministries staff
-Oversees 500+ volunteers through staff and volunteer leaders
-Runs Family Leadership Gathering
-Performs Family Dedications
-Oversees planning, preparations, and execution of programming for all age groups
-Cares for and counsels parents, children, and teenagers in crisis (e.g., physical issues, behavioral issues, relational issues, spiritual issues, and/or abuse issues)
-Coordinates social services with group homes, CPS, and homeless shelters on an as needed basis
-Researches new ways to do church on an on-going basis through podcasts, books, other church leaders, websites and conferences
-Attends Flip Flops, Pipeline, Frontside Middle School and Frontside High School services to provide feedback to the staff on them
-Oversees multiple service group for kids who attend more than one service
-Creates and upholds policies and procedures relating to ministering to children and youth as it relates to safety, emergency, CPR training, sexual conduct and conversation, appropriate behavior, volunteer expectations (time and energy)
-Plans and oversees all camps and events throughout the year
-Oversees_noemailmunication with families (e.g., weekly notecards, emails, phones, mailings, announcements, videos, and in person)
-Plans and approves marketing for u_noemailing events and changes.
-Oversees the weekly Family Newsletter
-Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is a director-level position with supervision over all the staff in Family Ministries. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the_noemailanization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing_noemailplaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years leadership/management experience; minimum of 5 years working with children and volunteer leaders, minimum bachelors degree, masters a plus; experience public speaking and/or teaching groups of 100+ people.
