The Associate Pastor of Care Ministries is a leader/developer who effectively_noemailanizes and empowers the Care Ministries of Harvest.

Ministry Oversight with Active Participation:

Visitation – First Time Visitors
Visitation – Missing In Action
Spiritual Decision Follow-up
Hospital Visitation
Homebound/Widow/Nursing Home Ministry
Bereavement Ministry

Reports to: Senior Pastor on spiritual issues.
Executive Director on_noemailanizational and administrative issues.

Qualifications:
Spiritual
Consistently and regularly shares his Faith boldly with those who are lost.
Be a man of God who has ordered his life in_noemailpliance with the teaching of Scripture and the example of our Lord.
Spiritually mature and affirmed as a pastor. (ordination not required)

Vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ demonstrated in part by a_noemailmitment to personal times of prayer, worship, meditation, and Bible study.
A strong marriage and family life with full support of his wife.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Vision Casting and Planning
Provide strategic direction and oversight of all Care Ministries at Harvest.
Recruit, train and provide leadership to Care Ministry directors, leaders and volunteers.
Prepare and provide oversight of the annual Care Ministries budget.

B. Nurturing & Encouraging
Care for, motivate, meet with and oversee various leaders and their spouses so they can in turn shepherd, nurture, and encourage those they are entrusted to care for.
Pray for and provide_noemailpetent spiritual care to the volunteer leadership of the Care Ministry.

C. Shepherding
Coordinate and perform weekly visitation to new visitors as well as those "Missing in Action" (MIA).
Coordinate and perform consistent hospital, homebound, and nursing home visitation, working in conjunction with other staff and volunteers.
Minister to the bereaved by providing in-home and funeral home visitation.

D. Teamwork
Maintain an effective working relationship with all staff.
Hold regular office hours and assist with other ministry needs as requested.
Attend all staff functions as assigned by Senior Pastor or Executive Directors including weekly staff meetings, specified pastoral prayer times, and staff retreats.
