Worship Arts Director Job - Community Church of Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin

The primary task of the Worship Arts Director will be to nurture and develop the heart of worship at Community Church. This will be a_noemailplished as the Worship Arts Director leads, shepherds, coordinates, rehearses, and equips all the volunteers in the worship arts ministry. This development will then engage the entire congregation as it is led into God's presence by skillfully_noemailbining biblical truth with music and the arts to bring honor to God. Thus, the Worship Arts Director b_noemailes the primary banner carrier to help Community Church experience the presence and power of God through praise and worship.

Job Qualifications:
The Worship Arts Director needs to be characterized by:
A healthy and growing_noemailmitment to Jesus Christ
A_noemailmitment to biblical truth and a demonstrated heart for prayer both in personal walk with Christ and in ministry development.
A capacity for planning and leading meaningful contemporary worship experiences
A well-developed understanding of the relationship between excellent music and Spirit-empowered worship. This includes a keen sense of how prayer plays a part in the entire process from start to finish.
An ability to create an environment that is authentically inviting to those who are curious about Christianity and yet unconvinced.
A track record of effectiveness in music ministry (at least 3 years of experience in music and worship arts leadership—paid or unpaid)
A desire to stay relevant with national trends in music and worship
Knowledge of projection software and web based music distribution
The ability to receive and provide constructive feedback that fosters growth.
The ability to lead people of all ages into God's presence
The ability to manage a wide variety of resources
A strong team ethic and value
A_noemailmitment to developing leaders by shepherding them spiritually into deeper walk with Christ
Experience with lighting, music, audio, and other technologies which can enhance worship
An ability to lead music from several different instruments (preferably piano and guitar)
Education:
oAdvanced training and experience in music, theory, and worship
oPrefer some theological education either in bible school, Christian college, or seminary

Job Duties:
Be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the celebration services
Shepherd key leaders in Worship Arts ministry into deeper understanding of worship, praise, and a life style of devotion to Jesus.
Develop an atmosphere of_noemailmunity among the music arts ministry volunteers and guide them toward deeper love for Jesus.
Rehearse the vocal and instrumental teams and participate in various roles when needed.
