Job Description:
Founded in 1939 by the London Christian Business Man's Association, Forest Cliff Camp has been providing "World Class Camping for Kids" to Southwestern Ontario for over 70 years. Forest Cliff's vision is to be a camp where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is clearly presented through well trained, caring staff, and an excellent camping program. As a member of the Ontario Camping Association, we adhere to the highest standard of care for the children under our supervision and make it our priority to ensure the best quality camp program for each of the 9 week long camping sessions in July and August.
Forest Cliff Camp is located on an 18 acre site on the shore of Lake Huron, approximately 55 minutes from London and 30 minutes from Sarnia. Each summer, over 1500 campers enjoy well supervised activities such as the 40' climbing tower and high ropes course, horseback riding, water sports, kayaking, and banana boating. Traditional camp activities include archery, handcrafts, drama, rocketry, and more!
The Executive Director will effectively lead and manage the camp operation by shaping, promoting and implementing growth strategies through visionary, strategic, and spiritual leadership. They will also oversee all aspects of the Camp Ministry which include building strong staff teams, building strong public relations, and providing solid leadership. Furthermore, this person will be executing excellent program, property, facility, operations, administrative, financial and marketing management.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a desire to grow as a follower, and evidence of a growing relationship with God
Formal Bible training
Church ministry experience
OCA/CCI camping experience
Possess a college or university degree in a related field or equivalent
Well- developed leadership skills
Strong oral and written_noemailmunication skills
Highly developed social skills
Excellent_noemailanizational and management skills
Well-developed team builder, problem solver and conflict manager
Business acumen, particularly in the area of budget development, fiscal control and basic accounting skills; knowledge and experience with an accounting software package would be an asset
Competent working knowledge of Microsoft office [Word, Excel, Presentation, Outlook]
Working knowledge of property/facilities management, building construction, operations and building maintenance
Working knowledge of marketing, promotion & fundraising
Demonstration of an innovative & entrepreneurial spirit would be an asset
Valid Drivers License
