Associate Pastor of Worship & Arts Job - RiverLakes Community Church, Bakersfield, California

A degree from an accredited 4-year bible college or seminary
Enthusiastic support of the doctrine, vision and worship philosophy of RLCC
A proven ability to lead and engage God's people in vertical, spirit-filled worship
A track record of recruiting, developing and managing volunteers
A Scripturally based philosophy of worship

Fluency in current contemporary worship music styles (Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Hillsong Live, Jesus Culture, Passion Band, etc.)

The mindset of a "lead worshiper" amongst a team of worship leaders
Excellent acoustic guitar and lead vocal abilities
Exceptional people and leadership skills
Exceptional_noemailpetence in arranging vocalists and instrumentalists
Experience leading and shepherding staff
A working knowledge of current sound, lighting and projection technology

RESPONSIBLITIES & DUTIES
Plan and lead high-impact worship services with the Senior Pastor
Oversee all the production elements in our weekend services (instrumental, vocal & technical)
Build a worship department that values excellent, relevant, contemporary, biblical, Christ-centered, vertical worship

Implement the biblical philosophy of worship approved by the Elders and Staff
Provide worship leadership at additional "all-church" events and meetings as needed
Recruit, manage and develop multiple worship teams
Meet monthly with a Leadership Team that grows and develops the overall ministry
Plan and manage an annual ministry budget
Participate in staff meetings and a small group for accountability
Provide coaching and resources for our children's and youth worship ministries
Develop a process for auditioning and grooming up-and_noemailing musicians
Supervise the Director of Technical Arts (FT) and an Administrative Assistant (PT)
Additional miscellaneous projects or duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor
