Technical Director Job - First Christian Church, Canton, Ohio

Job Title: Technical Director

Status: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Position Overview:

The Technical Director manages and oversees the technical execution of all First Christian Church services, events and ministries and will recruit, train and lead volunteer teams to produce an atmosphere that is conducive to worship. Using tools such as dynamic lighting, engaging video and superbly mixed audio, the Technical Director is responsible for creating professional technical presentations.

Position Qualifications:

- Degree, training or equivalent experience in Technical Arts
- Three or more years of experience in this or a related field
- Large church experience preferred
- Proven experience in developing and leading teams of volunteers
- Strong_noemailanizational skills
- Able to plan and_noemailmunicate clearly in a team environment
- In-depth_noemailputer literacy (PC and Mac)

Position Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the audio and visual needs within each area of the First
Christian Church campus, especially:
- Dynamic light programming and operation
- Professional audio mixing on both digital and analog mixers
- Understanding of in-ear monitoring systems
- Understanding of multi-camera live video and multi-output switching coupled
with knowledge of HD and SD video equipment and requirements
- Understanding of projectors and projector maintenance
- Create engaging and fresh stage designs using sets and dynamic lighting
- Design and set up the stage layout for weekly and special events
- Recruit, train and lead volunteer technical teams
- Oversee, manage and maintain all audio/visual equipment
- Manage the annual audio/visual budget
- Work with event coordinators, contractors and artists to ensure that any
events at FCC are fully staffed and are executed with excellence
