Minister to Students Job - Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church, Jackson, Mississippi

Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church, a growing, historic congregation in downtown Jackson, Mississippi, is seeking a full-time Minister to Students to oversee and give direction to an exciting and_noemailprehensive student ministry. Galloway believes strongly in its purpose statement which is ‘revealing heaven on earth through the witness of our personal spirituality, congregational ethos, and works of ministry by faithfully following Jesus.'

We seek a Minister to Students who is called to serve youth in grades 7-12, students in college or graduate/professional school, and their families. The candidate would evidence a contagious enthusiasm for Christ and youth with proven gifts of administration and_noemailmunication (oral and written). The candidate demonstrates deep Wesleyan theological grounding and gifts of leadership. The Minister to Students will oversee,_noemailanize, and implement ministry to, with and alongside youth to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. An effective Minister to Students will equip and empower youth and adult leaders to_noemailpanion and form students to live in_noemailmunity with mission as a way of life, oversee youth and college student bible studies, United Methodist Youth Fellowship, Sunday School for youth and college students. The Minister to Students will coordinate retreats, inspire, vision, and implement Missionfest (a five day summer Mission opportunity for the youth across the Southeast), youth auction_noemailmunity building/fundraising event, and other gatherings including but not limited to Breakthru, Lake Junaluska, etc.
