Youth Pastor Job - Cornerstone Baptist Church, Eldridge, Iowa

We are looking for a full-time Youth Pastor to join us as we continue to seek fulfilling the vision that God has given us. We are a mid-sized church (~400) with many young families in Eldridge, Iowa, a small but growing town near the Quad Cities. The Youth Pastor will be a key player in helping parents disciple the youth and in reaching the vulnerable in our_noemailmunity. This person will work with the Youth Purpose Team to implement and develop strategies to carry out our vision. Key points of focus will be discipleship, coordinating outreach and evangelism, teaching, training leaders, student care, and planning special events.

The ideal candidate will have a contagious passion for Jesus and at least two years of experience working with youth and building leaders. This person will also demonstrate effective_noemailmunication skills with both youth and adults. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Strengthen and maintain the existing junior and senior high youth ministry
Launch a new youth ministry in a potential multi-site location in DeWitt, Iowa
Disciple the youth and also aid in guiding the parents of the youth in this process
Plan youth events and involve the youth in various church ministries and activities
Partner with the Worship Pastor to further develop the youth worship team
Manage the youth ministry budget
Participate in leadership meetings and other activities as requested

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Spirit-filled, Christ-centered, reverence for God
Strong biblical foundation
Genuine passion for reaching, growing, and discipling youth
Proven ability to develop leaders and youth through teaching and mentoring
Experience building and/or maintaining a thriving youth group
A learner, preferably with a 4-year degree
Self-motivated
Administrative skills, strong_noemailputer skills preferred
Agreement with church doctrine
Biblical and theological training (current or will acquire)
