Director of Youth Ministries Job - Rosemount UMC, Rosemount, Minnesota

Youth Small Group Ministry
Coordinate Small Group Discipleship program with a focus on faith formation
Recruit, train and support the small group leaders working with youth
Develop a library of resources for Small Group Leaders
Assist in recruiting Youth Leadership Team members
Create opportunities for the development of Student Leadership
Support the overall mission, vision, beliefs, and strategy of the Rosemount UMC

Youth Fellowship and Service
Coordinate fellowship and service opportunities
Coordinate in-depth learning opportunities and service experiences such as retreats, camps and mission trips
Coordinate Leadership Teams for grades 7-12 that will train youth to b_noemaile active Christian leaders
Recruit, train, and support adult leaders leading the fellowship and service areas

LifeStage Minister for Youth and their Families (grades 7-12) and Young Adults (ages 19-30)
Communicate the concept and benefits of the LifeStage model
Plan LifeStage Events at least once a quarter for youth and their families and young adults
Encourage and minister to youth and their families and young adults
o Hospital visits
o Words of encouragement
o Notes, letters, and phone calls
o Birthday cards
Provide_noemailmunication about LifeStage events to
o Weekly newsletter
o Updates via email
o Phone calls
Work in conjunction with other areas of ministry in the Rosemount UMC to enable collaboration of ministries

Relationship Building
Build relationships with students and their families
Make home visits
Make school visits
Attend sporting events, concerts, plays and other activities
Assure that every youth is contacted directly at least once a year
Make direct contact with every small group leader at least once a year
Attend each small group 2 - 3 times during the school year

Youth Budget
Work with Youth Leadership Teams and adult leaders in formation of budget
Monitor spending throughout the year
Request payment of bills as needed from Treasurer
Coordinate the execution of the fund raising events to ensure full funding of youth program

Qualifications
A willingness and ability to develop and lead leaders
Previous experience in a successful youth ministry leadership position
Tech savvy
4 year degree or equivalent experience
Biblically grounded and a_noemailmitted follower of Jesus Christ
