Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time Worship Leader who will be in charge of leading an edgy, modern worship experience with corresponding lighting and media applications for our new Sunday evening worship service.
Applicants must be able to express a total worship ministry philosophy, work well with pastoral leadership, ministry staff and teams. They must be passionate about their call to ministry and be_noemailmitted to ministry not just performance. Candidate must have a vibrant relationship with God, evangelistic spirit and is in tune with popular culture. He/she will need to be a good administrator, detail-orientated, teachable, and willing to work under the leadership of the Worship Arts Director to implement the vision and values of the church.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience leading church worship or equivalent real world music ministry experience
- Trained and proficient in vocal and instrumental music
- Basic music theory and music performance skills required
- Ability to lead and engage entire congregation
- Must have advanced musical skills on either Guitar or Keys
- College graduate preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and leading new Sunday evening modern service
- Recruiting, training and shepherding worship teams
- Working with Worship Arts Director and Team for overall direction of worship service
- Assisting with implementing worship training sessions for students and adults in music theory, voice and instrumentation
- Assisting with administrative details involved with new worship service
- Substituting for Worship Arts Director to lead contemporary worship services, when needed
This is a full-time position. Salary will be determined on Candidate's experience, education and ability. Candidate will be expected to hold rehearsal(s) per week in addition to leading Sunday evening service including office hours and team meetings. This position reports to the Worship Arts Director.
