OVERVIEW
The Community Life Pastor will serve on the Executive Leadership Team with the purpose of nurturing the sense of_noemailmunity on all three campuses of Central Peninsula Church (CPC) so that we may fulfill our purpose of making and maturing more followers of Christ. This will take place primarily through oversight of CPC Wide ministries and staff in the following areas: Connections, Community Groups, Men's and Women's Ministry, Care Ministries and Seniors ministry. This position would require 50 hours per week.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the Community Group (CG) Ministry:
-Develop leadership team that will help in oversight of CG ministry Recruit and train CG leaders
-Write and/or select study material for CG
-Oversee process by which people get linked with a CG Troubleshoot with individual CG's
-Provide ongoing support and encouragement for CG leaders
OVERSEE CONNECTIONS COORDINATOR AND ASSIMILATION PROCESS FOR CPC NEWCOMERS:
-Oversee follow-up of Sunday morning guests and guest receptions
-Oversee Discovering CPC class
-Oversee Sunday morning Greeter and parking ministry
-Oversee Sunday morning workers
OVERSEE MEN'S AND WOMEN'S MINISTRY:
-Oversee Men's Fraternity
-Organize Men's Retreat
-Oversee Women's Pastor
OVERSEE DIRECTOR OF CARE MINISTRIES:
-Biblical Counseling
-Marriage ministry
-Recovery ministry
-Mercy ministry
-Provide support to existing Seniors Ministry
-Preach at request of Lead Pastor
-Take part in CPC staff meetings and meetings for Executive Staff Oversee CPC Wide Deacons
-Accountable to: Mark Mitchell and the Board of Elders Works closely with: Campus Pastors
PRIMARY STRENGTHS AND GIFTS:
-Seminary degree_noemailpleted or in progress Five years of ministry experience Pastor-Teacher gifts
-Team Player
-Ability to recruit, train, lead and disciple volunteers
-Ability to build strong and healthy relationships
-Ability to manage several ministries and staff at the same time.
