Director of Adult Ministries Job - Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church, Austin, Texas

Employment Status: This is a part-time position (25 hr/week) exempt and without benefits

Purpose:Focus on ministries to/with adults and assist the ministry of Congregational Life

Relationships:
Reports directly to Minister of Congregational Life
Works ollegially with Adult Ministry and Family Ministry Teams and Elders
Collaborates with Office Staff and Volunteers

Requirements:
Be a person of deep Christian faith with a passionate love for Jesus Christ and strong_noemailmitment to the church
Exhibit both caring and administrative skills; display a gentle spirit with strong people skills
Excellent_noemailmunication and time management skills
A vision/desire to nurture and expand the educational and discipleship opportunities for ministry in the church and beyond
The ability to encourage and mobilize professionals in ministry

Areas of Responsibility:
Oversight of ministry and programming for adults
Coordinate Sunday Morning Adult Programming (Sunday School classes and Core Courses)
Function as Staff Liaison for Men's and Women's Ministry
Leadership with church retreats (All Church Retreat and Laity Lodge)
Coordinate WHPC's Daily Devotional
Assist the Minister of Congregational Life with the mission and vision of the church related to ministry to adults
Teach when called upon and assist in worship when needed
Other duties as may be assigned consistent with the rationale for the position

Compensation & Benefits:
Annual salary is_noemailmensurate with education, experience, and performance of the position
Adequacy of_noemailpensation will be reviewed at least once each year
Job performance will be reviewed at least once each year
