MINISTRY OVERVIEW: The Executive Pastor oversees the operations and programs of the church, leads and develops the staff, and promotes and implements vision and strategy
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overseer
Develop systems, processes, and operational plans to implement the
vision of the church
Participate with the Senior Pastor and the Elders in development
of the church vision
Lead in planning, administrating, staffing and evaluating
ministries
Coordinate efforts across ministries to enhance overall impact
Staff Leader
Develop systems and processes to ensure staff effectiveness
Develop and motivate paid and volunteer staff to meet the
challenges of their responsibilities
Lead and/or coordinate pastoral and program staff meetings and
retreats in conjunction with the Senior Pastor
Administrator
Provide liaison between staff and the Elder Board and its
_noemailmittees on financial and administration matters, primarily
Personnel and Finance & Facilities
Develop plans and strategies for ministry effectiveness
Provide oversight to ministry resource allocation
Pastor
Assume leadership responsibility when Senior Pastor is not
available
Perform ministerial duties as appropriate
Officiate, teach, and/or preach on limited occasions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Heart for God and demonstrated knowledge of the Bible
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's and Seminary degrees desired
Ten years or more experience in
- Ministry
- Leading and developing teams
- Church and pastoral leadership
Able to work within a_noemailplex_noemailanizational structure involving
paid staff, volunteers, Board of Elders, and ministry_noemailmittees
Excellent management,_noemailanizational, administrative and
_noemailmunication skills (verbal and written)
Effectively manages conflict
Skilled meeting facilitator
