Director of Music: Modern Worship
(Permanent Part-Time)
ABOUT US:
Lake Shore Church is a growing and dynamic congregation of about 500 members with a nearly 100 year history of service in the_noemailmunity. We have recently we_noemailed a new pastor who has brought increased vitality and excitement for growth. We have two services on Sunday, Traditional and Modern, and are in search of a part time Director of Music: Modern Worship. This 11:15am service is led by a praise team of volunteers and is heavily grounded in the worship arts. We are blessed with a wonderful facility on a main thoroughfare in St. Clair Shores, MI. We are a warm and caring church and look forward to we_noemailing our new director into the life of our church family.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Music: Modern Worship will foster the growth of a multimedia modern worship experience through excellent leadership, recruitment, training, scheduling and support. The director shall demonstrate a passion for modern worship that will draw the participants, whether members, guests or seekers, closer to Christ.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Music: Modern Worship will be accountable to the Head of Staff/Pastor. A successful candidate will work collegially with the pastor and praise team to lead, coordinate and maintain volunteers for our modern worship service in areas of the worship arts such as music selection, drama and video. They will be required to hold one practice session and lead one worship service per week and attend other planning and administrative meetings through each month. They will also provide leadership for our holiday services and other special services of worship.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A successful candidate will possess excellent vocal and worship leadership skills. Strong knowledge of_noemailputer and video programs is required to support our technically based service. Preference will be given to those who have experience leading worship, strong instrumental talent and the ability to lead a service acoustically.
DETAILS:
Hours: Approximately eight (8) to ten (10) hours per week.
Wages: Commensurate with training and experience. $20.00 – $30.00 per hour.
Term of employment: Permanent part-time
