Director of Contemporary Worship
Job Description:
Castleton United Methodist Church, Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Director of Contemporary Worship to join its professional team. The qualified person will be responsible for working with pastoral staff on themes and direction of music, selection of music for the contemporary worship, preparing the music for the band each week, recruiting and training singers and instrumentalists, works with members of the technical crews to plan and execute the worship services, serves as the primary worship leader during the contemporary worship services, working with custodial and the musical ministry team in regards to set-up and tear down of musical instruments, developing and monitoring the budget for the contemporary music ministry, the acquisition and maintenance of the instruments and music, as well as oversees the Youth Band in coordination with the Youth Director, and Coordinates the VBS worship band. Qualified individual must have a college degree or_noemailparable experience preferred. High School diploma or equivalent is required. The ability to play the piano or guitar, read music and sing is required.
