Director of Student Ministries
WPC is a vibrant, thriving, disciple-making 1200 member suburban_noemailmunity in Southern California west of Los Angeles, with an active and effective student ministries program. The families of Westminster Presbyterian Church (WPC) value and have benefited immeasurably from a long-term student ministries team whose care and attention to our students has been exceptional. The successful candidate will exude leadership, enthusiasm for youth and for the Christian faith, high energy, a spirit of collaboration, and excellent_noemailmunication skills, including the use of social media.
Our Ministry: Weekly senior high fellowship gatherings, weekly Sunday school, an annual mission trip (65 people) with related fund-raisers, winter camp, confirmation classes, and occasional special events.
Location: Westlake Village, CA, is a family_noemailmunity in a _noemaileous physical setting with plenty of opportunities for good hiking trails and bicycling. We are 10 miles from the beach! The moderate year-round temperatures make for lots of outdoor activity.
Our Student Ministries Team: A full-time Director, a full-time Associate Director (primarily responsible for junior high activities), a full-time administrative assistant, a dedicated Student Ministries Committee, and a team of skilled and experience volunteer advisors.
Responsibilities: The development, implementation and oversight of all spiritual formation, mission and outreach opportunities for junior and senior high students.
Requirements / Preferences: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience as the lead in a large student ministry; a Master¡¦s Degree in ministry / theology is preferred.
