Youth Pastor Job - Becker Baptist Church, Becker, Minnesota

Purpose:

Becker Baptist Church (BBC) is seeking a candidate for the position of Youth Pastor. This individual shall profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and demonstrate a passion and love for youth. The Youth Pastor will be responsible for leadership of our Middle School and High School ministries. Skills in Teaching, Planning, Evangelism, Discipleship, Counseling and Prayer will be needed to facilitate an effective ministry in guiding the youth of our church and surrouding_noemailmunity to a personal relationship and walk with Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities:

Teaching: Develop and present_noemailprehensive biblical instruction for youth in small and large group settings.

Planning: Schedule, Coordinate, Supervise and/or facilitate all aspects of Middle School and High School youth ministry programs.

Evangelism: Create events and activities to foster an atmosphere of outreach and service to the Lord. This may include but is not limited to:_noemailmunity events at The House (youth facility), youth mission trips, outreach to the local_noemailmunity and collaboration with other area youth pastors for_noemailbined events.

Discipleship & Counseling: Model personal faith, encouraging our youth in their relationship with Jesus Christ through one-on-one interaction, social media contact and attendance at important school and life events.

Prayer: Actively engage in prayer with and on behalf of the youth in our church and_noemailmunity, in partnership with parents and church members.

Additional responsibilities: Recruit and facilitate training for volunteer youth leaders. Coordinate a balanced calendar of youth events. Maintain scheduled office hours. Assume other duties as determined by experience, spiritual gifts, talents and availability.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Previous experience in youth ministry required
Educational training that supports and enables ministry to youth
Strong written and verbal_noemailmunication skills
Agreement with the BBC Affirmation of Faith, Mission Statement, and Core Values
B_noemaile a member of Becker Baptist Church

Accountable Relationships:

Responsible to BBC Deacon Board
Report directly to the Senior Pastor
Supervisor to the staff of volunteers
Participate with Education Committee to implement shared goals
Foster relationships with parents of youth
