POSITION DESCRIPTION
Pastor of Family Ministry
PURPOSE
To give proactive, visionary leadership to the development and oversight of the key ministries that target birth through adults with dependent children.
PRIMARY CONSTITUENCIES
1. Nursery and Pre-School
2. Grade School
3. Middle and High School
4. College
5. Adults w/Children in the Home
REPORTS TO
Executive Pastor
CONTINUING RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversee:
a. Nursery through Grade School ministry and its director(s)/coordinator(s) (5 PT)
b. Youth Ministry (Middle and High School) and its director(s)/ coordinator(s) (2 FT + 1-2 PT)
c. College Ministry and its director/coordinator (1 FT + 1 PT or 3-4 PT)
2. Lead in the development and implementation of:
a. ministries designed to promote and develop healthy, growing relationships in and through families
b. ministries designed to promote and develop Christ-like moral character and concerns in and through families
c. ministries designed to promote and develop a sound doctrinal foundation in and through families
d. ministries designed to intentionalize family life dynamics and training of adult Sunday School classes where significant proportion of members have children in the home
e. a culture of volunteerism encouraging our adults to invest their lives in our children and youth
3. Coordinate and oversee goal setting, budgeting, program development and evaluation of ministries in primary constituency
4. Participate as needed in shepherding and pastoral care of the primary constituencies of Family Ministry
5. Work closely with other staff members to:
a. coordinate and encourage a family focus to various events
b. develop and implement pro-family instruction in adult Sunday School classes and group
