QUALIFICATIONS:
>Seminary trained, Masters of Divinity (minimum), including_noemailpetence in Hebrew & Greek
> Skilled at cross cultural, cross generational ministry within a socioeconomically diverse congregation
> Demonstrated work ethic and excellence in previous ministry environments
> Committed to the values and practices of historic pastoral ministry
> Skilled at mobilizing members and executing strategy
> Gifted_noemailmunicator in oral, written and digital contexts
> Strong interest and experience in men's ministry and workplace discipleship
> Five years experience in ministry
Our Associate Pastor will also have demonstrated success in these AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND RESULTS:
KNOWING THE CONGREGATION: The Associate Pastor will embrace an intensive interest in knowing the congregation. This will involve taking initiative to understand the personal and family narratives of the active members and friends of the church. This will impact the Associate Pastor's ability to shepherd in all other areas.
ASSIMILATION AND NEW MEMBERSHIP: The Associate Pastor will have a primary role in recognizing new attendees to the church and assimilating members into the ministry. This assimilation will involve supervising the new member process, gift assessment, and active participation in church life.
SMALL GROUP MINISTRY: The Associate Pastor will actively support an expanding small group ministry within the broader church body. This expansion will involve identification and training of group leaders and hosts. It will also entail increasing group participation within the congregation.
TEACHING AND PREACHING: The Associate Pastor will provide teaching and leadership within the overall discipleship and teaching ministry of the church. This will include occasional preaching on Sunday morning, adult Sunday school classes, and Wednesday night programs.
SHEPHERDING THE CONGREGATION: The Associate Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor to share the shepherding responsibilities for the whole congregation in pastoral care and counseling, weddings, and funerals, and hospitality.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: The Associate Pastor will assist in leadership development and mentoring of pastoral staff, lay leadership, men's ministry and seminary interns & fellows.
