Job Description:
We seek an innovative, energetic, relational individual to lead our Worship Ministry. In this part-time position you will lead a broad range of volunteer musicians and bands—from middle schoolers to twenty somethings, and even a couple of 50-somethings.
The ideal person will lead vocally and instrumentally, have a passion for worship, and bring fresh ideas on worship styles. The abilities to lead experienced musicians as well as identity/develop/nurture artistic talent are key. You will be part of a team including the Teaching Pastor and Creative Arts Leader who design Sunday experiences that demonstrates God's amazing love through music, song, videos, drama and visual arts. We seek a worship leader who will be the chief advocate for the arts as integral expression worship.
We are an active Christian_noemailmunity of 150 people with a diverse, intergenerational mix—our ongoing mission is to Love God and Love Others. Our Sunday morning service is a_noemaile-as-you-are-experience where we desire to meet God in song, prayer, teaching and being together. Current music style ranges from a full band to a singular acoustic set, and includes songs from Jesus Culture, Hillsong United, Crowder and Crossroads originals. We want our church to grow, stretch and reach new levels in worshipping our Saviour.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Sunday morning worship with fellow Christian artists
Help plan the Sunday morning service under direction of Teaching Pastor
Identify new music and worship designs
Run weekly rehearsals
Special seasonal events
Candidate should possess:
Servant heart and attitude
Willingness to disciple and be discipled
Bachelors degree or equivalent life experience
Minimum 3 years worship leading experience
Technically excellent instrumentalist and vocalist
Engage worshippers through songs, music, and limited teaching,
