Youth Ministry Director Job - Palm Valley Lutheran Church, Round Rock, Texas

We are in search of a unique individual who, as the primary leader of all youth programs (7 thru 12) for Palm Valley Lutheran Church must have the ability to inspire, disciple and relate the Christian faith to youth of all ages. Be able to develop and encourage a stimulating learning environment in which all ages can grow in knowledge of God's grace through study, fellowship, worship and service.

This person must exemplify a steadfast walk with Christ that includes nurturing the youth and their leaders. This individual must have excellent interpersonal and administrative skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to reach, teach and motivate youth as well as the knowledge and experience to implement programs for youth. The candidate must model and mentor Christian life values and integrity and lead by example as well as be knowledgeable in and affirm Lutheran theology.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a field related to education or youth ministry.
Certification in Youth Ministries is desired.

Experience / Qualifications / Requirements
ELCA Membership preferred but not required.
Five years prior experience in a similar position preferred.
Background check required.

Personal Skills:
Team player with our entire staff, as well as our Youth & Christian Education Committees. Strong_noemailanizational skills, talent for mentoring, leadership and teaching skills are all necessary for this position.
