Job Description:
Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church (HCPC) located in Albuquerque, NM is searching for a Pastor to fill a vacancy on a Pastoral Leadership Team (PLT) with four other ministers. Specific responsibilities include preaching approximately 50% of the time. He will also lead a worship team in planning all worship services. Duties will also include serving as Minister in Charge, staff coordinator, moderate Session, and make the final decision on issues that cannot be resolved by the leadership team. He will facilitate the annual long-range planning process involving ministry staff, Session, and Diaconate. He will also lead the effort and involve the PLT in vision casting and implementation for the church and seamlessly coordinate all current and future ministries. He will participate in weekly minister/director meetings in order to coordinate efforts, resolve issues/conflicts, and share in decision making.
This Pastor will also be responsible for providing oversight for the day-to-day operations and administration of the church. He will serve as part of the Stewardship Team to develop the annual budget and monitor spending. He will be responsible for review of all written publications produced by the office that are widely distributed to congregation members and/or the public.
